I'm here to provide birth and postpartum doula support, guiding you every step of the way. I am a non medical trained professional who provides physical support throughout pregnancy and birthing.
About Me
Welcome here, My name is Flavia Barbosa, a Birth and Postpartum Doula based in NYC, Kilomba Collective Co-Founder, and Imanis Mom. I decided to become a Doula after my own experience giving birth at home without medication during COVID-19. I'm a Brazilian, psychologist and Dancer.
As a certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, I feel honored to be able to share my expertise with pregnant people and families around New York and New Jersey. I approach birth holistically and my role is also to act as an advocate for the birthing Person and their family. I offer support for the new family after birth.

Services Offered
I provide comprehensive doula services, including physical and emotional support, education, and advocacy. As a Birth Doula, I will be by your side during Pregnancy and labor, offering continuous support and assisting with comfort measures.
Birth Doula
Postpartum Doula
I offer Multi-sensory, holistic Childbirth Education in Person and online, based on the birth from within, teaching classes to families expecting babies. Childbirth classes help Pregnant people and their families better understand the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.
Childbirth Educator
I will help you adjust to life with a newborn, offering practical assistance and emotional. As a Postpartum Doula, I provide families information about feeding, sleep, Newborn care, emotional support for recovery from childbirth, infant soothing, and coping skills for new parents.
